During our opening times of 8.00 am – 8.00 pm Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Saturday and 9.00 am to 11.00 am Sunday, our team at Cherrydown Vets is here to look after your pet. Our team of dedicated veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses, student veterinary nurses and patient care assistants ensure that your pet has the very best care.
Inpatients admitted during these hours are cared for by our team; however, we will be changing how we operate out of hours.
Starting on 6 September 2021, we will be joining in a partnership with Vets4Pets Basildon for our out of hours care and on bank holidays, from Monday to Friday. Our in-house team still covers the weekends at Cherrydown.
Vets4Pets Basildon
We have selected Vets4Pets as our out of hours care partner due to their excellent level of veterinary care. Vets4Pets have their own dedicated team and facilities. They will bill you separately for their care.
In many cases, your Cherrydown veterinary surgeon and the Vets4Pets team will discuss your pets’ case history, the tests and treatment to tailor an appropriate treatment plan. As Vets4Pets are a partner company, they will call you for consent for further workup or treatment. They will discuss their estimated bill for their services.
Patient care
Inpatients admitted during our normal opening hours are still cared for by our dedicated team. A direct number for our kennels will be given to you on admission.
Patients admitted out of hours will be cared for by our partners at Vets4Pets. They have state of the art facilities and the latest equipment to monitor your pet overnight. If your pet improves whilst under the care of the Vets4Pets team and they recommend discharging your pet from the hospital, they will contact you to arrange a suitable collection time and will request payment for the treatment they give. A detailed invoice will be printed out and attached to your pet’s paperwork so you can see the itemised overview of your pet’s treatment and care.
Although having your pet at the vets can be a worrying time, by using Vet4Pets, you can continue to receive the very best of treatment and care 24 hours a day.
